1. Information We Collect

When you use MyCalendar, we collect the following information:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password (hashed) when you register
  • Calendar data: Events, titles, dates, and notification preferences you create within the Service
  • Settings: Timezone, notification time preferences, and notification email address
  • Phone number (optional): If you enable voice call reminders, we collect and verify your phone number via an SMS verification code. Your phone number is used solely to deliver voice call reminders for events you have scheduled. You can remove your phone number at any time in Settings.
  • Telegram chat ID (optional): If you connect your Telegram account to receive reminders via the MyCalendar Telegram bot, we store your Telegram chat identifier. You can disconnect at any time.
  • Payment data (donations and voice subscriptions): If you make a voluntary donation or purchase a voice call reminder subscription, we store masked card details (last 4 digits) and transaction information. Full card numbers are processed by WayForPay and never stored on our servers. Voice call subscriptions are part of a unified cross-platform subscription that works across the web, Android, and iOS versions of MyCalendar.
  • Push notification token: If you use our mobile app (iOS or Android), we collect your device push notification token to deliver event reminders as push notifications. You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.
  • Apple ID information: If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier, email address (which may be a private relay address), and optionally your name. This data is used solely to create or link your MyCalendar account.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • To send email reminders and notifications about your events
  • To deliver voice call reminders by phone (only if you enable this feature and verify your phone number)
  • To deliver Telegram reminders via our Telegram bot (only if you connect your Telegram account)
  • To send account-related emails (verification, password reset, subscription notices)
  • To process payments for voluntary donations and optional voice call subscriptions
  • To improve the Service and user experience

3. Data Sharing

We share your data with third-party services only as necessary to provide the Service:

  • Resend: Email delivery for event notifications, verification, subscription notices, and password reset emails
  • Twilio: Voice call delivery and SMS phone verification for voice call reminders. Your phone number and a short text of the reminder are shared with Twilio solely to place the call.
  • Telegram: If you connect your Telegram account, reminder messages are delivered through the MyCalendar Telegram bot using the Telegram Bot API.
  • Cloudflare: Turnstile CAPTCHA for bot protection during registration
  • WayForPay: Payment processing for voluntary donations and for optional voice call subscriptions. Card data is handled by WayForPay and is not stored on our servers. We use WayForPay as our unified billing provider so that a single subscription gives you access to voice calls across the web, Android, and iOS versions of MyCalendar.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not show advertising and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and calendar events for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual events at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from Settings in the mobile app, or by contacting us at support@mycalendar.website.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use the following cookies and browser storage:

  • Authentication cookies: Essential cookies for session management (required for the Service to work)
  • Cloudflare cookies: Set by Cloudflare Turnstile for CAPTCHA verification and bot protection

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
