No. Voice call reminders are delivered by a real phone call to your verified number. You don't need the app open, you don't need internet connectivity, and you don't need to use a specific device. Any phone that can receive calls works.
Sign in to MyCalendar, go to Settings, enter your phone number, and verify it with the SMS code we send. Then enable voice call reminders for any event or birthday. You can pick a daily time when the reminder call should happen.
If you miss the call, the voice reminder will be left on your voicemail if your carrier supports it. We don't retry the call — the attempt still counts toward your daily limit to avoid spam.
Yes. Your phone number is used only to deliver voice call reminders and is never shared with advertisers or third parties. You can remove your number from your account at any time in Settings.
